ABOUT REED REAL ESTATE
As residential specialists in SE Florida, my team and I share an enthusiasm for helping everyone we speak with. We’re easygoing and lighthearted, but when it comes to what we do, we mean business. We continually undergo extensive training to ensure we’re always using the latest technology and marketing strategies to assist everyone in our community. With expert knowledge and tools, our website is a great resource that allows everyone to access the latest information about market trends, neighborhood features, and property values. Our team doesn’t stop with the friendly faces in this office. It also moves beyond the ground we cover in these communities as we work to connect buyers and sellers. We are small and independent, but we are also tied into a network of local, like-minded real estate and financial professionals. Over the years, we’ve each amassed our own network of helpful industry professionals, each acting as a necessary resource for providing our clients with the easiest and most successful outcome. This includes home inspection specialists, contractors, landscapers, mortgage brokers, and title companies. We know when we need to call upon them, and when we do, they’re always ready, willing, and able to help us help you!
Reed Real Estate specializes in communities in Jupiter and Tequesta, FL.
Jupiter, FL
Jupiter is known for its beautiful beaches, elegant waterfront estates, world-class golf courses, public parks, luxury amenities, and easygoing lifestyle. Jupiter offers 11 miles of public beaches, many of which are dog-friendly, and plenty of parking, which appeals to the true beach lover. It is the northernmost town in Palm Beach County, Florida, and home to 61,047, according to the 2020 Census. Jupiter was named the 9th Best Southern Beach Town to live in by Stacker Newsletter for 2022, was rated as the 12th Best Beach Town in the United States by WalletHub in 2018, and the 9th Happiest Seaside Town in the United States by Coastal Living in 2012. If you are looking to live in a city that offers it all: great schools, beaches, restaurants, live theater, bars, and parks, Jupiter has it all.
Jupiter has a trade-wind Tropical rainforest climate. Much of the year is warm to hot in Jupiter, and frost is extremely rare. Jupiter is also known for its humid summers. As is typical in South Florida, Jupiter has two basic seasons: a mild and dry winter (November through April) and a hot and wet summer (May through October). Daily thundershowers are common in the hot season, though they are brief.
Additional local attractions include:
The most notable landmark is the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, completed in 1860. The lighthouse was built on a hill once thought to be an Indian shell mound or midden, but is now determined to be a natural parabolic sand dune. The lighthouse site is between Cape Canaveral Light and Hillsboro Inlet Light. The top of the 105-foot tower is 153 feet above sea level and can be seen 24 nautical miles at sea. The lighthouse is often used as a symbol for Jupiter.
Jupiter’s Roger Dean Stadium is Spring Training home to both the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Nearby Downtown Abacoa features FAU’s honor college, specialty shops, sidewalk dining, weekly events, and live concerts.
Stop by Dubois Park, with more than 1,200 feet of tropical palm-lined beach, plus playgrounds and picnic pavilions. Carlin Park offers an exercise trail and well-equipped picnic areas.
Tequesta, FL
Tequesta is a small-incorporated village in Jupiter’s northern suburbs, with a portion of it extending onto Jupiter Island, and is the northernmost coastal town in Palm Beach County, FL. The population was 6,158 in the 2020 Census. Named after the Tequesta Indians, the Village of Tequesta is located along U.S. Highway 1 to the west and north of Jupiter Inlet Colony in the northern Palm Beaches along the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is rich in history and Florida lore, with the earliest known records of the Jupiter Inlet dating back to 1565.
Today, this area is still famous for its beautiful beaches, the Loxahatchee River, and the Intracoastal Waterway. Tequesta is an ideal family-friendly community, offering many boutique stores and galleries, community parks, golf, tennis, and lots of water sports fun. The village enjoys a vibrant cultural life and hosts several annual arts and entertainment festivals.
Whether you want to live next to Tequesta Country Club, on the banks of the Loxahatchee River, in a beachfront condo, or in a traditional neighborhood setting, you’ll find what you’re looking for in Tequesta. Thanks to the ample access to the water, boating and fishing are popular pastimes among the locals, and of course, a day at the beach is always a welcome suggestion.
